Role: Fund Control ConsultantRate: Open to discussionContract Length: 6 month contract likelihood of extensionsLocation: Hybrid 2 -3 days a week in London The RoleThe successfulapplicant will take full responsibility for controlling and managing thefinancial accounting and reporting across a range of real assets funds andsegregated mandates including investments in real estate, infrastructure funds,joint ventures and direct properties. Responsibilities• Ensure thatfund pricing and financial reporting including management accounts andfinancial statements are produced consistently, on time and to a high standardacross all entities.• Manage theannual audit process for relevant funds and entities, working closely withauditors to ensure an efficient and timely audit is conducted• Manage serviceproviders to ensure an efficient and high -quality level of service ismaintained• Ensureappropriate controls over fund accounting, pricing and reporting are in placeand operating effectively. Ensure that all risks are well understood and anyerrors and breaches are reported and actioned.• Ensure robustreview processes are followed to ensure detailed review of accounts prepared bythird party administrators• Supportoperational change projects impacting the business, including, but not limitedto, changes arising from regulatory developments, internal operationalrequirements, control improvements and client requirements• Be proactive inunderstanding transactions and any matters which have an accounting impact andwork with the client's investment teams to embed standard fund and assetaccounting operating models on new deals.• Ensure there iscontinual improvement in the relevant underlying processes and work withinternal and external stakeholders to implement necessary change• Ensure fund andentity governance requirements are met• Maintain closerelationship with relevant investment teams and portfolio managers• Understand fundand entity constitutional arrangements and fund structures.• Preparation ofreports to Committees and Boards of Directors of Funds, entities and ManagementCompanies Requirements• QualifiedAccountant• Significantexperience in a similar role• In depthunderstanding of current accounting standards (UK GAAP, IFRS and Lux GAAP)accounting for real assets activities and complex transactions common fundstructures and tax issues• Strongverbal/written communication skills• Organised witha structured approach to working across multiple activities• Production ofaccurate and timely management and financial reporting• Reporting in adeadline orientated environment.• Managing avariety of funds/entities simultaneously• Dealing withauditors and managing the audit process• Managingoutsourced service providers• Dealing withadvisers and fund managers• Managing issueresolution #LinkedInHybrid
