Part-time or Full-time Nanny in the Cotswolds

A lovely family based near Stow-on-the-Wold are looking for a long-term experienced nanny for their 2 children, aged 3 and 8 months old.

They are seeking someone who loves looking after babies / young children and who is happy working as a team alongside the mother. Generally, you will be looking after one child or other, though primarily the 8 month old, as the mother enjoys spending time with each child separately. There will be times during the week when you are looking after both children by yourself so you must be fit and confident in doing this.

Requirements

  • Flexible on day and hours to suit suit both parties
  • The role could be anything from three days a week to four and a half days a week.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday would be preferable
  • Late stay to 7pm two evenings a week
  • Requirement to travel with the family for a approximately 3 weeks per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing nurturing care to both children.
  • Engaging the children in educational and developmental activities with a focus on arts and crafts, cooking and outside activities
  • Supporting the mother in caring for both children.
  • Preparing balanced, healthy meals for the children.
  • Organising fun and age-appropriate activities.
  • General nursery duties including light household chores related to the children (e.g., tidying play areas, children's laundry).
  • Helping with the bathtime and bedtime routine

The Ideal Candidate should be:

  • Passionate about childcare, well-organised, and intuitive about children's developmental needs.
  • Fun, outdoorsy and proactive, who enjoys engaging children in stimulating activities
  • Willing to take on light household duties related to the children – although there is a housekeeper
  • Proven longevity and experience with similar aged children in previous roles is essential.
  • Impeccable references.
  • Flexible and willing to lend an extra pair of hands with whatever task is required, such as taking the dog for a walk, and able to work happily alongside the mother as a team

The salary is based on £60,000 per annum on a pro-rata basis depending on hours / days worked and is dependent on experience and qualifications.
