Purpose Of Job

As an IT Systems Engineer you will be reporting directly to the Group IT Manager and be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and supporting the IT infrastructure across the three sites at Global ATS. This includes managing a variety of systems such as hardware, software, networks, servers, and databases.

The IT Systems Engineer will ensure that Global ATS 's IT infrastructure and mission-critical Simulator operations are reliable, secure, efficient, and that it is aligned with the organisation's business needs and goals.

Key Responsibilities

Identifying and resolving issues that arise, whether related to hardware, software, or network connectivity on both the Simulator network and Office network and logging these issues. Overseeing the running of the IT helpdesk system to meet the targeted SLA.

Installation and Configuration:
Lead the installation and configure hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Troubleshooting:
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IT systems, hardware, software, and networks. 2nd and 3rd line support.

Security:
Monitor security measures to protect the organisation's data, networks, and systems to mitigate risk from unauthorised access, theft, or damage.

Maintenance and Upgrades:
Perform routine maintenance and upgrades of IT systems, hardware, software, and networks to ensure optimal performance.

Documentation:
Document system configurations, procedures, and processes for IT staff and end-users.

Training:
Provide inductions and follow up training and support to end-users on IT systems, hardware, software and security.

Budget and Reporting:
Provide input to the monthly reports and the annual IT budget.

Line Management:
One direct report, 1 to 1's and appraisals.

Technical Requirements

Windows Server, Azure, O365, SharePoint, Intune, Active Directory Group Policy, VMWare configuration and administration, Advanced Network and Firewall configuration – VLANs, AP, SSL and IPSEC , Antivirus and security technologies, Veeam backup, HP SAN.

A formal Microsoft qualification and experience of IT help desk operations.
