Sectora Group are pleased to be searching for Operations Director for a growing manufacturing and engineering business based in Cambridge. You will oversee end-to-end operations, manufacturing, process improvement, quality assurance and supply chain interfaces. You will ensure that, cost, quality and delivery targets are met and lead and develop a high-performing team, embed lean methodologies while working alongside the senior leadership team.
As Operations Director you will:
- Lead and manage all production operations, including manufacturing, assembly, maintenance and logistics across the facility
- Implement and optimise operational processes, applying continuous improvement tools (to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Work closely with supply-chain, purchasing and engineering functions to align manufacturing operations with business objectives
- Drive a culture of quality and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and delivering consistent performance
- Lead, mentor and develop operations teams, fostering engagement, accountability and high performance
- Own key operational metrics and report progress to senior leadership on productivity, cost, on-time delivery and quality
As Operations Director you will have:
- Demonstrated track record in managing manufacturing operations within an industrial or engineered-product environment
- Strong leadership experience, able to influence at all levels and drive change
- Excellent commercial awareness and ability to translate strategy into operational execution
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders including senior leadership
