Currently at £10m turnover and boasting large growth in the last 12 months, we are looking for a people focussedOperations Director to help us continue our impressive growth and ensure we transition seamlessly from a lower tier into a higher tier COMAH site.
**BASIC SALARY**: £75,000 - £85,000

**JOB DESCRIPTION**: Operations Director, Factory Manager, Plant Manager, Site Manager - Chemicals, Technical Consumables
As the Operations Director, your key responsibility is to ensure the seamless receivership and delivery of products to customers as well as building the foundations of our business to cope with the transition from a lower tier COMAH site to a higher tier COMAHsite. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will make up part of the senior management team and act as a sounding board on all key operational, HSEQ, production and manufacturing issues.
In addition to this you will also:
- Lead continuous improvements in the resources required and ensure processes are in place in Health, Safety, Quality, Environment, reliability, and efficiency on the site.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities and notify the Managing Director or other Managers of any operational issues that arise.
- Manage 4/5 direct reports & 40/50 indirect reports.
- Working closely with the technical and commercial teams, lead and manage the introduction of new products into manufacturing.
- Be an active and collaborative member of the senior management team.

Ultimately you will have already been a successful senior manager / director, maybe a background as an Operations Manager, Factory Manager, Plant Manager, Site Manager, or a Senior Production Manager, someone who above the normal requirements, enjoys playingan active role in the business. Someone who is driven by their love for developing the people who report into them and uses data to influence and aid your decisions. You will be enthused by variation and wearing many operational hats.
It is likely you will have previously managed a chemical manufacturing site (or had exposure to COMAH or DSEAR regulations) with a t/o of circa £10-£50m and worked with a variety of outsourced providers (3PL) and managed a broad supply chain.
