Payment Operations Advisor

What will your day look like?
As a Payments Operations Advisor, you will be responsible for the day to day execution of operational finance transactions across the bank, and the appropriate control administration. Tasks will include;

  • Make all payments as required for assigned systems/business lines
  • Booking of daily cash transactions to accounting and sub ledger system
  • Providing information to relevant parties from the banking software
  • Research and solve payment discrepancies, and assist with customer queries
  • Perform reconciliation on some related accounts and generate ageing analysis
  • Prepare monthly business assurance.
  • Assist with testing as and when deemed applicable
  • Accurate recording of Data
  • Opening of Bank Accounts
  • Working closely with all business lines to deliver exceptional service

What Do We Expect From You

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High level of numeracy
  • Ability to work well independently using your own initiative and under pressure.
  • Good organisational skills are essential as you will be managing multiple applications at all different stages in the process simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with 3rd Party Suppliers and other departments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver the end result.
  • Supporting and driving new initiatives and programmes of change
  • Confident in decision making
