At Pearson, we're committed to a world that's always learning — and to our talented team who make it all possible. From bringing lectures vividly to life to turning textbooks into digital experiences, we're constantly reimagining how people learn best. Whether it's one learner in our local community or an education network across the globe, we believe learning has the power to unlock opportunity and drive progress.
We're bold thinkers and passionate innovators, always pushing the boundaries of technology and education to make a lasting impact. If you're inspired by a culture that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement, you'll feel right at home here.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join our Apprenticeships team based at Southwick Park. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of our apprenticeship programmes — supporting learners through their journey from induction to completion, maintaining accurate records, and helping our team deliver exceptional service to learners, clients, and stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, a passion for learning, and a genuine interest in supporting apprentices to succeed. We are pleased to offer flexibility for both full-time and part-time working (30 hours per week), making this an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking adaptable working arrangements.
What You'll be Doing
Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation for IDev / ESFA-funded learners.
Supporting learner inductions and formal reviews, ensuring all records are up to date and compliant.
Managing apprenticeship administration processes — including registrations, achievements, and leavers — using systems such as Maytas, Edexcel, and OneFile.
Handling certificates, ensuring all documentation is correctly processed and filed.
Updating and maintaining data on our MIS systems to support audit and reporting requirements.
Providing general administrative support to the Apprenticeships team, including meeting coordination, note-taking, and handling incoming calls and post.
Collaborating with colleagues to share best practice, improve processes, and maintain high-quality standards across all areas of work.
What We're Looking For
Proven administrative experience, ideally within an education or training environment.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management.
Confident communication skills — able to engage positively with learners and team members.
Knowledge of apprenticeships and related processes (desirable).
A Business Administration qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
Why Join Us?
When you join Pearson, you're part of a global community that values learning and growth — for our learners, and for you. You'll have access to a range of benefits, training opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.
Join us and let's change the way the world learns.
Apply today to be part of a team that's shaping the future of education.
