Head of Technology Delivery – Senior Leadership Role

QA Higher Education | Full-time & Permanent

Location: Birmingham – Hybrid

We're looking for an experienced Head of Technology Delivery to join our ambitious and growing team. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll shape and deliver our technology roadmap, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams and partners to bring innovative, secure, and scalable digital solutions to life.

QA Higher Education is looking for a Head of Technology Delivery to establish and manage best-in-class processes across our tech delivery functions and spearhead the development of cutting-edge digital platforms that transform the student experience. From AI-powered portals to dynamic websites, you'll lead projects that make a real difference.

  • Own and manage the technology delivery roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate releases, change management, and dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of student-facing web and portal initiatives, integrating AI features and ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Standardise delivery processes and champion agile methodologies.
  • Oversee resource planning, finance reporting, and key MI for BAU teams.
  • Drive insight-based decision-making using KPIs for engagement, conversion, and technical performance.
  • Line manage Business Analysts and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Bring your experience & skills:

  • Proven experience in technical project or programme management, ideally within education, SaaS, or digital services.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft web technologies (CMS, APIs, cloud platforms, front-end frameworks).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in user-facing platforms (desirable).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Agile/Scrum expertise and proficiency with tools like Jira and Trello.
  • Relevant qualifications (Computer Science or related field) and certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
