Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the West Midlands, for a PV Panel Installer employed directly or as a contractor. The PV Panel Installer will manage installations of photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential or commercial buildings, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality standards. Responsibilities include conducting system evaluations, site preparation, assembling and mounting PV panels, possibly wiring the systems, troubleshooting, and providing maintenance work. This role requires collaboration with other team members to meet project timelines efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Experience in PV system installations, assembly, and use of tools related to electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy operations.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting related to PV panel systems.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical blueprints, schematics, or specifications.
  • Strong teamwork, problem-solving skills, and capacity for attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in renewable energy installation and certifications such as PAS2030:2023 is a plus.
  • Physical stamina and preparedness to work at heights in outdoor environments.
  • Valid driver's license and flexibility to travel when needed.
