An exciting opportunity has arisen to take on a newly-created role in Birmingham City University's Vice-Chancellor's Office. The Projects and Governance Officer role represents a superb opportunity for the right candidate to work at the heart of the University's leadership teams, shape its executive governance arrangements, and deliver upon its new strategy.

We are looking to appoint a highly organised, motivated, and proactive individual, who will be able to make this role their own. The postholder will provide be to undertake effective management, operations and governance of the University's Executive Team and the University Management Team. They will also work with the Executive Officer in implementing an effective oversight model for Strategy 2030, deliver projects and initiatives, and arrange and facilitate engagements.

As a highly effective communicator, the postholder will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and often to tight deadlines. With previous experience of servicing the most senior executive committees within a comparable organisation, the postholder will be confident in applying good governance principles in their work. We are looking for a candidate who is experienced at working flexibly and autonomously, with the ability to negotiate and work with senior staff and colleagues in a positive and diplomatic way.
