Our client, a major policing organisation, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the upgrade and implementation of their Airwave communications system. You'll take a hands-on leadership role, coordinating technical delivery, managing stakeholders, and ensuring the project is delivered on time, on budget, and in line with security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end upgrade and implementation of the Airwave system.
  • Oversee technical integrations, configuration, and rollout activities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, policing units, and external suppliers.
  • Manage risks, issues, timelines, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with police communications and security frameworks.
  • Drive delivery across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in policing, emergency services, or similarly regulated environments.
  • Hands-on experience delivering Airwave system upgrades or implementations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage technical and operational workstreams simultaneously.
  • SC clearance required
