Job Description
The Head of Finance, Business Planning will develop Heathrow's short to medium term plan to ensure its continued successful growth and profitability, lead regulatory finance activities to secure an optimal regulatory settlement and co-lead the ongoing planning systemisation efforts as business owner.
They role-holder will conduct environmental scans/benchmarking, organizational positioning analyses and other studies as appropriate. Through planning processes they will coordinate input from all major business units through the Finance Business Partnering team to facilitate the integration of individual business unit plans with the corporate plan. They will connect strategy with financial planning. They will work closely with HPMO to leverage Heathrow's Benefit Management Framework to enable and facilitate periodic reviews of achievements and performance vs. strategic plans
Your role will involve
- Leading short to medium term business planning, setting targets for medium term to budget activities to inform and influence strategic corporate choices at Executive and Shareholder level
- Leading related medium-term and short-term financial modelling activities continuously driving improvements of tools ensuring rigorous governance and assurance of modelling output.
- Leading regulatory finance activities partnering with the Regulation team to ensure Heathrow optimises its regulatory settlement to drive value creation
- Playing a critical part in Heathrow's planning systemisation to enable the airport to transition to automated planning
- Driving collaboration and constructive challenge with Finance Directors in shaping the plan to ensure the business plan is ambitious, deliverable and value accretive
- Leading, developing, coaching and motivating a team of finance professionals to deliver financial excellence for the business f) Build excellent working relationships with Finance Directors, other heads of and well as with Executive Directors and their respective leadership teams.
These Skills Are Essential
- Qualified accountant, CFA or qualified by experience with extensive managerial experience operating at an operational and strategic level and/or corporate finance.
- Strong influencer and communicator with the ability to structure and deliver persuasive arguments at Director, Executive Director and Shareholder levels.
- Demonstrable ability to learn from and adapt to environment in order to deliver results.
- Wide-ranging knowledge and experience of global aviation industry or other capital intensive industries advantageous
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrable track record of leading high-performance teams toward the successful attainment of challenging goals

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow . Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
