We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Finance to provide maternity cover on a fixed-term basis for 10 months from December 2025. This is a key leadership role within the finance team, responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, manage a small team, and our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to step into a dynamic role within a supportive and collaborative environment.

  • Manage Finance Assistant and Management Accountant providing support for the day to day finance operations

  • Review monthly management accounts for both UK and US companies and present these in the monthly accounts meeting with Directors

  • Provide analysis on Management Accounts, Forecast and Cashflow for both UK and US companies

  • Ownership of the US company including managing the US bookkeeping and accounts to ensure they are compliant with US accounting standards, tax is entered accurately and filings submitted on time, year-end accounts are accurate and transfer pricing policy is followed correctly

  • Collate information for payroll for both UK and US employees and work with our payroll providers to ensure payroll is submitted accurately and on time

  • Manage our currency risk through hedging, take out forward contracts with our third party platform Privalgo and provide seasonal FX rates to the team

  • Build relationships with brands ensuring information to calculate commissions is received in a timely manner and is accurate

  • Perform monthly commission reconciliations with support from the Management Accountant Review accrued income sales accruals against actuals to ensure assumptions are accurate

  • Oversee and manage all company invoicing ensuring debt is chased regularly

  • Closely monitor AP including reviewing and approving all payments

  • Answer any tax queries from HMRC with support from our UK out sourced finance team, Kalculus

  • Review year end accounts drafted by Kalculus

  • Work closely with the Head of Operations to budget for and review each seasonal showroom

  • Work closely with the Owners and other Heads of Department to achieve company goals

  • Manage overseas VAT reclaim

This person will be :

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA accredited
  • Ideally experienced in a similar industry
  • Established Finance Manager looking to progress into a Head of Finance role
  • Excellent in their presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experienced with XERO, Dext & Pleo helpful but not essential
  • Happy to work as part of a small but fast-growing team

Please note the salary range is up to £80k annually.
