Summer Internship Programme

We're offering an 8-week internship opportunity for a graduate to join the Enterprise Architecture team in Birmingham as a Solution Developer. This internship is ideal for someone eager to explore emerging technologies—particularly AI tools—and apply them in the context of solution delivery for the insurance industry.

The intern will work closely with other architects, technology owners, and potentially external suppliers. The focus will be on developing proof-of-concept solutions that demonstrate how AI-based tools can enhance either the CI/CD pipeline or improve business processes.

This is a hands-on role that combines technical analysis, innovation, and strategic thinking, offering exposure to enterprise-level architecture and decision-making.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed technical evaluations of AI tools and platforms relevant to solution delivery.

• Explore use cases for improving CI/CD pipelines or optimising business processes within an insurance context.

• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to understand requirements and constraints.

• Produce a comprehensive report outlining:

  • Technical feasibility

  • Pros and cons of the proposed tools

  • Cost estimation and potential impact

• Participate in team discussions and supplier engagements to gather insights and feedback.

• Present findings and recommendations to the Enterprise Architecture team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Expected/achieved minimum 2:1 classification in any IT-related degree discipline

Arch seeks candidates who have excelled in previous work experience, demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possess strong analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills, and are enthusiastic about the insurance industry.
