Position: Head Maintenance Gardener (Horticulture)

Salary: £36,000 - £38,000

Light Water Plants are looking for a Head Maintenance Gardener (Horticulture) to join our growing team. The ideal person will have over five years previous experience in the horticultural field, and will be comfortable with and knowledgeable about all aspects of plants, plant maintenance, and plant care.

Our diverse range of clients are situated throughout London, and include shops, offices, co-working spaces, restaurants, markets, and members clubs.

The Job:

  • Advising on garden maintenance schedules and site requirements
  • Liaising with clients on-site to discuss any queries or issues
  • Liaising with management to discuss necessary plant maintenance tasks
  • Leading a team of four gardeners
  • Watering and maintaining plants, this includes pruning, feeding, re-potting, and treating for pests and diseases
  • Installing (planting) new plant displays, and seasonal changes
  • Leading installations
  • Reporting on the condition of sites and necessary future works to Head Office
  • Working with the team and individually
  • Scheduling your team's time to efficiently complete tasks

The Requirements:

  • Five years proven experience in the horticultural sector
  • Strong plant knowledge
  • A clean UK driving licence
  • Experience of driving in London
  • Able to start at 6/7am
  • A smartphone
  • Good communication skills
