Group Head of Referrals, Commissioning, and Partnerships

Location: Harborne B17 9AT

Hours: 35-hours per week (hybrid working)

Salary circa £41,000 per annum

Are you interested in a Group Head of Referrals, Commissioning, and Partnerships position working for a business specialising in housing, care and support for people with visual impairments, and other specialist needs? This new position will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to make their mark in helping us to achieve our ambitious but realistic plans for further business development and growth.

This role leads our commissioning relationships, manages all referrals and call-offs from local authority frameworks, monitors portals daily, and carries out person-centred assessments to ensure timely placements, and reduced voids and spaces in our services.

Key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Register and manage framework agreements with local authorities
  • Monitor referral portals daily and respond to opportunities
  • Lead on all new referrals, call-offs and matching individuals to vacancies
  • Carry out person-centred assessments of support needs
  • Support smooth transitions for individuals entering services
  • Build strong relationships with commissioners and care managers
  • Produce costings for support packages and secure funding agreements
  • Reduce voids and support sustainable organisational growth
  • Bid for and write compelling tenders for new services.

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • Experience in care commissioning, referrals, placements or tender submissions
  • Background in learning disability, visual impairment or complex-needs services
  • Ability to assess individuals' support needs
  • Experience costing support packages
  • Partnership development and management
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • A full UK driving licence.

About Us:

New Outlook has been providing services to visually impaired people for over 170 years. Starting out in 1846 as part of the Birmingham Royal Institution for the Blind (BRIB), becoming a standalone housing association in 1997. Since then, New Outlook Housing Association (NOHA) has gone through several changes to become the organisation it is today.

Vision Homes Association has been providing support to vulnerable adults for over 30 years, specialising in providing support to people with complex needs. VHA is a charity, registered with the Charity Commission and its care provision is regulated by Care Quality Commission.
