MEP Contracts Manager

Greenford UB JZ, United Kingdom East West Connect ltd Full time £95,000 - £105,000 per year

About us

At EWC, we pride ourselves on delivering excellence across all facets of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) projects. Our team is built on collaboration, integrity and technical expertise. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a proactive, commercially astute and technically driven MEP Contracts Manager to join our growing Projects Department — reporting directly to the Projects Director, Managing Director and the Board.

This is a pivotal role offering both leadership responsibility and the opportunity to shape the continued growth and development of our MEP division.

The Role

As an MEP Contracts Manager, you'll take full ownership of the management, coordination and successful delivery of projects — from pre-construction to completion. You'll ensure health and safety excellence, drive project performance, and manage a talented team of engineers, quantity surveyors and site managers.

This is a hands-on leadership position where no two days are the same — from negotiating tenders and liaising with clients to ensuring compliance, quality and profitability across multiple contracts.

Duties

  • Lead and manage MEP project delivery from planning through to completion.
  • Champion Health & Safety best practices across all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to maintain a central point of communication and delivery.
  • Support the Pre-Construction Director with tenders, proposals and business development activities.
  • Oversee project teams including Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Supervisors and Subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain a strong and sustainable supply chain.
  • Monitor project financials, including accurate monthly reporting and cost tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and internal management systems.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business opportunities.
  • Regularly report progress, risks and outcomes to senior leadership and the Board.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within project delivery and processes.

About You

We're looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and leadership skills.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an MEP Contracts Manager or similar role within building services or construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC and JCT Contracts and Framework Agreements.
  • Strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health systems.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
  • Confident negotiator and client-facing professional.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital project tools.
  • CSCS / ECS Card (current).
  • Full UK driving licence with ability to travel to project sites.

Desirable:

  • Degree in Building Services Engineering or equivalent.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
  • Opportunities for career progression and professional development.
  • A supportive, collaborative working environment.
  • Involvement in high-profile and diverse MEP projects.
  • Commitment to your health, safety and wellbeing at work.

Why Join EWC?

You'll be part of a forward-thinking company where your input is valued, your professional growth is supported and your success is celebrated. If you're driven by excellence, enjoy leading dynamic teams and thrive on delivering exceptional projects — we'd love to hear from you.
