Job Overview

We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented, and innovative Wardrobe Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for style, space optimisation, and craftsmanship, with the ability to design custom wardrobes and storage solutions that combine aesthetics, practicality, and functionality. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their lifestyle needs and design preferences, delivering bespoke designs that enhance everyday living.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to determine their wardrobe design needs, style preferences, and storage requirements.
  • Create detailed wardrobe designs and layouts using professional design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar and Photoshop.
  • Develop and present design concepts through sketches, 3D renderings, and material samples.
  • Specify materials, fittings, and finishes that align with the project's vision and budget.
  • Collaborate with production teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and high-quality execution of wardrobe designs.
  • Manage multiple projects from initial concept through to installation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Stay updated on trends in wardrobe design, materials, and storage innovations to bring fresh, modern ideas to each project.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and project stakeholders to ensure satisfaction at every stage.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Furniture Design, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven wardrobe design experience in the UK (required).
  • Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
  • Strong technical knowledge of wardrobe fittings, joinery, and material selection.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and creativity in combining form and function.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for client and team collaboration.
  • Previous experience in residential or bespoke furniture design is advantageous.
