Own Label Product Development Manager – Normanton/Hybrid – £40,000 & Benefits

Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a market leading business to recruit an experienced Own Label Product Development Manager to join their team.

This is a key role will lead the development roadmap for multiple product ranges, working with the Category Manager and cross functional teams, you will take ideas from concept through to launch and into the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the proposition for each own label brand with a focus on year-on-year growth
  • Manage the end-to-end development process from idea generation to launch
  • Work with the Own Label Marketing Manager to shape brand identity and positioning
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities in the B2B space
  • Lead development in existing and new categories across the group
  • Input to and coordinate the Own Label Development Plan
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure cost, quality and delivery
  • Track product performance and make recommendations to improve range and margin
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety and brand requirements
  • Approve samples, packaging and production sign off
  • Work closely with Product Management, Procurement, Purchasing and Product Marketing to deliver commercial results and strong supplier relationships

Hours:
37.5 hours per week (Flexi time)

The Person:

  • Proven experience in product development or buying, ideally within own label or private label
  • Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of sourcing, manufacturing and compliance
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data
  • Full UK driving licence
