Health Navigator

Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive Health Navigator (GP Receptionist) to join our busy practice. This is a fast-paced and challenging role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while providing outstanding support to patients and clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk Duties:
- Greet patients in a warm, professional manner
- Manage patient check-ins and check-outs
- Support patients with queries, forms, and signposting to appropriate services
- Telephone & Patient Communication:
- Answer high volumes of incoming calls in a calm and efficient manner
- Book, amend, and cancel appointments
- Provide clear information and advice within the scope of the role
- Prioritise urgent patient needs and follow correct protocols
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate patient records and update systems accordingly
- Process online appointment/Query requests
- Handle incoming emails, letters, and clinical documents
- Support the clinical team with general practice administration
About You
- Experience in a healthcare, customer service, or administrative role (preferred but not essential)
- Confident handling busy phone lines and face-to-face queries
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Strong IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and empathy
- Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a supportive team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.32-£12.52 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
