Brief Description

We are recruiting for a Communications Manager to join us in GBRX.

About the role (External)

This is an exciting opportunity to develop consistent and effective communications strategies for key projects within a pioneering and groundbreaking part of the rail industry. You'll be tasked with developing and implementing Communications strategy on projects for GBRX which present reputational risks or opportunities for the business. A key part of this role will be Interfacing with key external audiences in consultation with relevant Comms Teams from the Government and Corporate Affairs to build engagement and strong stakeholder relationships. You will be operating in reactive and ambiguous media environments with a focus on business to business communications. The Comms Plans you develop will vital for detailing activities and driving recommendations for best practise implementation.

What we need from you:

  • Significant experience within corporate communications
  • Proven track record in public relations activity in a high profile organisation
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to think strategically
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Thorough knowledge of the media and how it operates
