Job Summary

We are seeking two dedicated and passionate Early Years Educators to join our bank staff team.

Have you taken a break from early years/education and now looking to return? We are offering two bank staff positions, working on an ad hoc basis to cover staff sickness/training.

Successful candidates will be given as much notice as possible of when cover is required, however this could be the evening before or even the morning of the session.

We are a term time only setting open Monday to Friday 08:30 - 14:30, ideal for anyone looking for school hours. Based in Godinton Village Hall, we are a pack-away setting, therefore lifting and accessing under the stage will be required.

Pay is issued on the last working day of the month and is calculated purely on hours worked, no fixed contracted hours/holiday/sickness entitlement etc.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for two individuals to work as part of our team, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning.

Duties include

  • Set up and pack away of educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged from two to four years.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals and outdoor activities.
  • Manage daily routines efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to organise activities effectively whilst maintaining a nurturing approach.
  • A caring attitude combined with organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
