This exciting role provides a procurement service to the laboratories and field-based functions. As part of this role you'll liaise with suppliers of services to the laboratory and sampling functions, and provide a facilities service for the laboratories.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Support Services Manager
- Ensure all visitors to site are signed in and supervised during their visit
- Prepare meeting rooms and ensure all consumables are available
- Make staff aware of deliveries
- Procurement activities including SAP ordering, monitoring of temporary staff contracts/orders, and day to day operation of contracts for the supply of lab chemicals and equipment
- Be the first point of contact to deal with any enquiries relating to ordering or delivery of goods and / or services
- Deal with general lab service queries
- Maintain SAP in line with training and guidance
- Accurate and current records of spend to be kept
- Maintenance of monthly standard reports

What does it take to be successful?
- Able to communicate with people at all levels
- Reliable and committed
- Able to deal with answering account queries, processing payments and being an excellent first point of contact
- Ideally you will be SAP trained
- Ability to help customers over the phone and in person
- Able to prioritise effectively
- Accurate data input into various databases and spreadsheets
- Confident telephone manner
