We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to lead the delivery of an exciting and inclusive programme of digital skills courses across a variety of community settings. The Digital Skills Tutor and Coordinator will play a key role in both designing and delivering engaging, practical courses, while also taking the lead on community outreach to ensure we reach a wide and diverse audience of adult learners.
This is a hands-on role that combines teaching, course development, and engagement work. While we have a strong track record of working with refugees and migrants, this project aims to reach a broader cross-section of the community, including individuals who may not traditionally access adult learning opportunities.
We're looking for someone who is not only passionate about digital inclusion, but is also:
- Creative and adaptive, able to develop learning that feels relevant and real to people's lives
- Keen to design and adapt courses that reflect the fast-changing digital landscape and learners' everyday realities
- Confident working beyond the classroom, recognising that digital skills aren't limited to computers; they're also developed through smartphones, tablets, and real-world problem-solving
- Enthusiastic about supporting community members, especially those with little or no digital experience
- A great communicator, comfortable working with learners with a range of communication styles and needs
- Flexible in approach, open to trying new methods and tailoring delivery to meet learner needs
- Willing to travel to a range of community venues for in-person delivery
- Collaborative and team-oriented, ready to work within a small, supportive and diverse team
- Excited about making a real difference, with the potential to help the project grow beyond its initial scope
We are especially keen to hear from individuals who see the potential for long-term impact and who bring the energy and vision to help shape and grow the programme in future years.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Level 3 teaching qualification (such as AET or equivalent) is required.
- If you do not yet hold this qualification, you must be willing to work towards it as part of the role.

- Deliver engaging and accessible digital skills sessions
- Plan sessions in advance
- Adapt content to meet learner needs, including basic, mobile-based, and more innovative digital skills
- Use a learner-centred approach to teaching

- Liaise with community partners and venues to arrange course delivery
- Support outreach and learner recruitment for each course
- Maintain learner attendance records and gather feedback
- Assist in basic reporting for funders and management
Learner Support
- Provide a welcoming and supportive learning environment
- Identify barriers to participation and help learners access support
- Signpost learners to follow-on opportunities where appropriate
Project Growth & Innovation
- Contribute ideas to develop new courses and adapt existing content
- Keep up to date with changing digital trends to ensure courses are relevant and practical
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for seeing the programme succeed and expand in future years

- Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple courses
