About KX

The KX platform delivers transformational value by addressing data challenges related to completeness, timeliness and efficiency, ensuring companies understand change over time and can achieve faster, more accurate insights at any scale, cost-effectively.

KX is essential to the operations of the world's top investment banks, aerospace and defence, high-tech manufacturing, healthcare and life sciences, automotive and fleet telematics organizations. The company has established offices and a robust customer base across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Overview Of The Role

KX is hiring a Technical Documentation Lead. As the Technical Documentation Lead, you will lead by doing — setting strategy while remaining hands-on with the tools, workflows, and publishing systems that power KX's Docs-as-Code ecosystem. You'll mentor a team of technical writers and collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver world-class documentation that accelerates user adoption and deepens product understanding.

You'll also drive the modernization of our documentation infrastructure, ensuring our authoring and publishing workflows reflect modern software engineering practices — version control, automation, and structured content design — to scale content delivery with precision and impact.

Key Responsibilities

· Act as a player-coach: Balance strategic leadership with hands-on contributions in writing, tooling, and publishing workflows.

· Develop and execute a comprehensive technical writing strategy for KX's suite of data and analytics products.

· Lead, mentor, and grow a team of technical writers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

· Partner with product management, engineering, marketing and customer success teams to prioritize, create and maintain clear, concise, and user-focused documentation, including API guides, tutorials, FAQs, and user manuals.

· Own the end-to-end lifecycle of our documentation platforms, from roadmap and consolidation strategy to release management and ongoing operational excellence.

· Ensure technical content effectively communicates complex concepts to a wide range of audiences, from highly technical developers to business end-users.

· Collaborate with the developer experience and product design team to integrate documentation seamlessly into the product user experience.

· Drive the adoption of documentation standards, style guides, and tools to ensure consistency and quality across all materials.

· Analyze user feedback, product usage data, and industry trends to identify opportunities to enhance the documentation ecosystem.

· Lead the adoption of innovative technologies such as interactive documentation, video tutorials, and AI-driven support tools, such as chatbots, to improve user engagement.

Skills

· Proficiency in modern documentation tools (e.g., Markdown, Git, VS Code, MadCap Flare) and methodologies (e.g., docs-as-code, DITA, structured content).

· A passion for making complex technologies accessible and intuitive for diverse audiences.

· Technical writing in a B2B Software Environment

· Team Leading

· Driving communication at C level

Essential Experience

· 10+ years of experience in technical writing, with 5+ years in a leadership role, preferably in the data or analytics domain.

· Strong understanding of developer ecosystems, data platforms, and analytics technologies (experience with APIs, SDKs, or distributed systems is a plus).

· Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire leadership and cross-functional teams.

· Proficiency in modern documentation tools (e.g., Markdown, Git, VS Code, MadCap Flare) and methodologies (e.g., docs-as-code, DITA, structured content).

· A passion for making complex technologies accessible and intuitive for diverse audiences.

· Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

· Knowledge of Capital Markets

· Data Analytics experience

· Worked in a PE Environment
