Parks Maintenance Worker

The Henson Leisure Group is a prominent provider of private leisure and holiday parks located across West and South West Wales. We have been welcoming holidaymakers to our parks for over a decade and our parks are known for their high standards of care and attention to detail. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Parks Maintenance Worker to join our team.

Location: Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, UK – with some travel to other Parks within the Group

Hours: 5 days per week, including bank holidays and some weekend working during the holiday season

Overview

This hands-on role is vital to ensuring our parks and outdoor spaces remain safe, functional, and visually appealing. We're looking for a proactive, physically fit individual with a broad skill set in outdoor maintenance—from siting caravans and laying patios to light plumbing and fabrication. If you enjoy varied work and take pride in practical problem-solving, this could be the role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Site caravans and assist with relocations and setup across our parks
  • Lay patios, slabs, and decking to enhance outdoor living areas
  • Carry out light plumbing tasks, including basic repairs and installations
  • Fabricate and fit outdoor fixtures such as fencing, gates, and signage
  • Perform general maintenance including tree work, minor landscaping, and repairs
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve issues promptly
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently for a variety of tasks
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good working order
  • Collaborate with the wider maintenance team on larger projects and seasonal tasks

Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience in outdoor maintenance, construction, or similar roles
  • Practical knowledge of siting caravans and installing decking or patios
  • Basic plumbing and fabrication skills desirable
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Mechanically minded with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Tree work experience or qualifications would be an advantage
