About the Company:
Our client is a major organisation delivering large-scale transformation across complex supply chains and logistics environments. They operate in a highly regulated sector and offer a collaborative setting where architects work across modern, multi-technology platforms.

Role Overview:
We're hiring an IT Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of end-to-end solutions across applications, data, integration, and infrastructure. You'll guide architectural decisions from requirements capture and high-level design through to implementation and sustainment, ensuring alignment with technical, security, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture across multiple domains
  • Produce high-level designs, interface specifications, and technical proposals
  • Support platform selection and buy vs build evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with architecture principles, security, and regulatory standards
  • Engage with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams on technical decisions

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect on large, complex programmes
  • Strong background across application, data, integration, and infrastructure architecture
  • Solid knowledge of integration concepts (SOA, ESB, XML, Web Services, MQ)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Exposure to logistics or supply chain technology
  • Familiarity with WMS, TMS, ERP, procurement, or analytics systems
  • Knowledge of TOGAF, MODAF, or ArchiMate
  • Experience with compliance documentation in regulated environments
  • Background working within CMMI Level 3 environments

Clearance Requirements:

  • BPSS is required to start
  • SC clearance required for the role
