Application process:
- Applications are open until Friday, 9th January 2026.
- All applicants will be contacted with the outcome of their application by Friday, 16th January 2026.
- Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to interview in February 2026.
- Offers will be made to successful candidates by Friday, 27th February 2026.
- Internship dates will be agreed at the point of interview, with most internships lasting between 8-12 weeks from June - August.

About the role:
Your role will encompass all aspects of Fire Safety Engineering. This will range from undertaking research on new products and systems, working with design teams, reviewing drawings, and assisting senior colleagues with the development of fire strategies.
- Review proposed design drawings and provide guidance to the design team on what design development is required to achieve a design that is compliant with the proposed Fire Safety Strategy for the building.
- Review design drawings and provide fire compartmentation requirements for the building
- Assist engineers and senior engineers in the development of fire safety strategies
- Attend internal and external meetings
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the applicable fire safety codes i.e., ADB, BS 9991, and BS 9999, and know which code to use and where
- Research new products and systems
- Become familiar and competent with Ashton Fire systems, i.e., using Bluebeam, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Outlook
