Salary - Starting from £30,000 pa plus 50 pound sleep ins?

Purpose of the role:

The Deputy Manager will provide management and leadership to a team of Therapeutic Residential Care Workers and Team Leaders within their home, working alongside and in the absence of the Registered Manager. The Deputy Manager must be aware of all regulatory standards for the day-to-day management of the home. They will lead the communication channels and ensure these are established and maintained to facilitate joint working and the best outcomes for young people.

Your role is paramount in making a genuine impact on the therapeutic care afforded to our vulnerable young people who have experienced trauma in their lives and show complex and sometimes challenging responses to adults supporting their holistic development, and who may have a range of mental health and/or learning disability needs. You will support the team to meet the care needs and targets for development of individual young people, will be an excellent role model, able to motivate and inspire the team in their work and will strive to consistently drive standards forward in the home. You will have high aspirations for the young people living in the home and also for the standard of care afforded.

This position involves shift working, including sleep ins, on a rota system to best meet the needs of the young people and the home.
