Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
  • Support the development and implementation of individualised care plans
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
  • Help with medication reminders and basic health monitoring under supervision
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Drive between different care settings if required, ensuring timely patient support
  • Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with organisational policies

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of care plans and basic health monitoring techniques is advantageous
  • Good IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals or in a healthcare environment is beneficial but not mandatory
