This role is mobile and predominantly field based, and we require your base 'home' location to be within 30 minutes of our depots listed above.

Salary:
£34,749 - £ a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family:

We are looking for a Tree Cutting Quality & Safety Inspector (QSI) to join our team. We're looking for a well organised, highly skilled individual who has a keen eye for detail and is looking to make a difference.

Ideally you will be safety driven, have a high level of self-organisation and be generally proactive in your approach.

In this role you will take overall responsibility for inspecting work carried out by our arborists/tree cutters to ensure compliance with SSEN clearance specifications.

The Role
As a Senior Developer, you will join the Business Energy Data Platform team and collaborate with other developers using Agile practices to deliver Data and object-oriented applications, while supporting the development of Evolve data and event-driven solutions.

You Will

  • Demonstrate the ability to analyse complex problems and design effective solutions, showcasing strong analytical and design skills.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering scaled end-to-end complex solutions, including designing, building, testing, automating, and monitoring using a modern tech stack in a production environment.
  • Gain hands-on experience with business-critical systems in medium to large organizations, ensuring reliability and performance in high-stakes environments.
  • Possess extensive experience in environments that follow DevOps principles, with a strong working knowledge of DevOps tools to streamline development and operations processes.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner, Delivery Manager, and stakeholders to analyse requirements and deliver comprehensive business solutions.

You Have

  • Proven expertise in developing robust and scalable applications using the .NET Framework, .NET Core, and C#. Skilled in building solutions with Azure Function Apps, RESTful APIs or GraphQL, Azure Service Bus, React, Blazor, , Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and GitHub Copilot. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
  • Extensive .NET development background, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure cloud services—particularly in building serverless solutions using Azure Functions and orchestrating integrations via Azure Service Bus and Logic Apps.
  • Experienced in Build & Release Management, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD), ideally using Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, releases) to deploy software to production and monitor releases using appropriate tools.
  • Strong proficiency in designing applications and integrating services such as Azure Function Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Logic Apps, Databricks, Cosmos DB, and SQL Server relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), ensuring efficient and scalable application deployment.
