Commercial Strategy
AlphaSight's commercial strategy pillar, which sits within the Strategy & Analytics team, is instrumental in driving the company's growth agenda by leading analytically grounded commercial projects, managing client negotiations in conjunction with commercial leaders, and executing core commercial processes. The team works closely with senior management to deliver strong renewal outcomes, present regular business reviews to top clients, establish structured processes that improve AlphaSights' commercial standing, and advance our commercial reporting systems.

The Role
As a Senior Analyst in AlphaSights' Strategy & Analytics team you will play a key role in enabling senior leadership to make better-informed, data-driven decisions that further the growth of the business. You will be instrumental in driving AlphaSights' growth agenda by supporting and leading company-wide strategic initiatives with data-driven performance measurement and analytically grounded decision-making. This is a chance to utilise your skills in problem solving, quantitative analysis, and communication to help shape AlphaSights' future commercial and operating model. You will be based in London but will work with employees from across the organisation (both regionally and functionally) to execute strategic projects.

What You'll Do

  • Data analysis: Extract data from our proprietary systems, perform quantitative analysis, and draw valuable insights
  • Strategic projects: Run and drive high-impact strategic initiatives in partnership with senior leadership, focusing on commercial growth areas such as pricing and go-to-market strategy
  • Executive communication: Present insights to senior leaders across all business functions to inform and guide key strategic decisions
  • Domain ownership: Take ownership of the business results and impact associated with strategic initiatives you implement across your domain, from ideation through to implementation
  • Process management: Own and diligently execute key processes that support AlphaSights' commercial effectiveness, such as market benchmarking and client RFPs

Who You Are

  • Professionally experienced: ~2-3 years' full-time work experience is required, preferably in a related role, e.g. strategy / management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy or data analytics, where you have a proven record of being a strong performer, capable of driving organisational success through data-related skills
  • Ready to specialise: If you've spent ~2-3 years' in strategy / management consulting, investment banking, or a similar analytical role, gaining broad exposure to industries and client work, you're now looking to focus that experience by building deep expertise and long-term impact within a single organisation through a corporate strategy role
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills: You love working with data, enjoy technical challenges, and have an innate desire to solve business problems analytically; also evidenced by holding a 2:1 or above in a quantitative degree (e.g. Engineering, maths, Economics, Finance)
  • Effective communicator: Beyond strong analytical ability, you have exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills. You can clearly structure and articulate complex ideas, tell compelling stories through slides, and thoughtfully incorporate feedback from both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Great problem-solver: You have an aptitude for solving complex and unstructured problems
  • Highly driven and proactive: You have excellent planning and organisational skills, can meet tight deadlines, and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
  • Want to create impact: You care about solving business problems and providing senior leaders with actionable data insights that propel the growth of AlphaSights
  • Meticulous: You hold yourself to high standards, have obsessive attention to detail, and take a methodical approach to work

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word is a strong plus
  • Experience with SQL and working with databases is a strong plus
  • Experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting is a strong plus
