We are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Manager to lead and continuously improve our client's quality systems and processes across automotive manufacturing operations.

This role is critical in ensuring compliance with industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001), driving supplier quality performance and embedding a culture of right-first-time across the business.

You'll work cross-functionally with production, engineering and supply chain teams to uphold product integrity, customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the site Quality Management System (QMS) in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits, including customer and third-party audits.
  • Maintain and improve quality KPIs, reporting monthly to senior leadership.
  • Oversee inspection and testing of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
  • Manage non-conformance processes, including scrap, rework, and concessions.
  • Drive Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) activities, including PPAP, APQP, and audits.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and warranty issues.
  • Ensure timely resolution of complaints and implementation of lessons learned.
  • Manage and develop a team of Quality Engineers, Technicians, and Inspectors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer in the automotive sector.
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC.
  • Experience with internal and supplier audits.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proficient in quality tools (8D, 5 Whys, MSA, Control Plans)

Desirable:

  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
  • Familiarity with OEM/Tier 1 customer requirements (e.g., VW, JLR, Nissan).
