Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will support children and young people experiencing mental health challenges, playing a key part in their care and recovery. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement personalised care plans and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and delivery of individualised care plans tailored to children and young people.
  • Observe and monitor emotional and behavioural changes, reporting concerns to the clinical team.
  • Provide emotional support and build therapeutic relationships to promote positive mental health.
  • Accurately document patient progress, interventions, and daily activities.
  • Support the facilitation of structured group work and therapeutic activities appropriate for young people.
  • Promote a safe and supportive environment in line with safeguarding and risk protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise outcomes for service users.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills for working with young people, families, and clinical teams.
  • Ability to understand and implement tailored care approaches for children and adolescents.
  • Confidence in leading sessions and engaging young people in therapeutic interventions.
  • Competence in using IT systems to maintain accurate clinical records.
