Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. We are a reactive plumbing company who specialise in multiple jobs a day.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair heating systems, including boilers and radiators.
  • Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of heating equipment.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for installation and repairs.
  • Carry out plumbing tasks as needed to support heating system installations.
  • Assemble components of heating systems according to specifications.
  • Conduct heavy lifting when necessary for the transportation and installation of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on-site.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople as required during projects.

Requirements

  • 2 years+ experience as a Heating Engineer
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot heating systems effectively.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
  • Experience in plumbing is advantageous but not essential.
  • Carpentry skills are a plus for any necessary adjustments during installations.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
