The Data Administrator role

We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Data Administrator to help maintain accurate data and stock information across our systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills in data management, stock control, and GDPR compliance. Full training will be provided, but a natural eye for detail, a genuine love of accuracy, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Main Responsibilities for the Data Administrator

  • Assist with cleansing data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support the maintenance of stock records, including updating product details and quantities.
  • Help identify and correct simple data errors or missing information.
  • Work alongside internal teams to ensure data is recorded correctly.
  • Generate reports and support data requests as needed.
  • Follow data handling guidelines and learn best practices for GDPR compliance.
  • Help with data-related tasks during audits, system updates, or small projects.
  • Provide occasional support to clients, helping with straightforward data or stock-related queries when required.

Variation may occur to the duties and responsibilities at the request of the Managing Director without changing the general character of the post. Any variation will always be discussed first.

Data Administrator Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Experience working with data or in an administrative role is helpful but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to work.
  • Good working knowledge of spreadsheets or data entry tools (e.g. Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Interest in learning about data cleansing and GDPR.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to ask questions when unsure.
  • Ability to work accurately, follow established processes, and show a genuine love of detail.

On offer for the Data Administrator

  • Starting Salary: £26,000 per annum
  • Inclusion in our Profit Share Scheme (paying out up to 15% of basic salary) upon completion of 6-month probation period
