Food runner

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our guests receive prompt and exceptional service by delivering food from the kitchen to tables with professionalism and care. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for the hospitality industry and a keen interest in food service operations. Previous experience in restaurant, kitchen, or hotel environments is highly desirable, along with strong communication skills and a focus on food safety standards.

Duties

• Collect prepared dishes from the kitchen and deliver them accurately to guest tables in a timely manner
• Assist servers by ensuring all food orders are correctly presented and complete before delivery
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service stations and dining areas
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to facilitate smooth service flow
• Uphold high standards of guest services, including polite phone etiquette when necessary
• Assist in clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and managing guest requests efficiently
• Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure hygiene and safety compliance

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles such as barista, culinary assistant, or hotel staff is advantageous
• Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and food safety standards
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear and courteous guest interactions
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience with delivery driver duties or food delivery services is a plus but not essential
• Familiarity with basic cooking or meal preparation can be beneficial
• A professional attitude with excellent phone etiquette and guest service skills
