Mid-Market Business Developer, UK
We're looking for an experienced Mid Market BDR to drive growth across multi-site childcare and education groups. This outbound role is ideal for someone beyond the typical SDR stage, who's ready to own outreach, nurture relationships, and build market presence.
You'll combine sharp prospecting skills with a networker's mindset, engaging potential partners through creative campaigns, in-person visits and events, and prospecting with drive. And that's not all You should be excited by learning, growing and being part of something meaningful You are great at listening and understanding what people really need And, most importantly, you are driven by championing better environments for children If you are nodding at your screen, then you may be who we are looking for
What you'll be doing
As a BDR, your mission is simple, but not easy…to spark meaningful conversations with childcare provides and show them how Famly can make a huge difference in their day-to-day work.
Here's what that looks like:
Represent the company at industry events, networking meet-ups, and regional conferences (around 25 travel days per year).
Build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers across multi-site operators.
Create targeted outreach campaigns — having real conversations, through thoughtful cold calls, emails, and socials
Develop market insights and playbooks to guide strategy and refine our approach to the mid-market.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and leadership to align messaging and identify emerging opportunities.
What You Bring
1+ years of outbound BDR or similar SaaS experience (mid-market experience ideal but not required).
A genuine hunter mindset — comfortable "scraping" for leads while nurturing complex, multi-touch relationships.
Confident communicator — from cold calls to conversations with C-levels at events.
Self-starter who thrives with autonomy, thinks strategically, and enjoys building something new.
Commercially sharp, curious about industry trends, and proactive about learning.
What excites you
A outbound role with genuine ownership and visibility.
Competitive salary and performance-based commission.
Opportunities to travel, network, and shape mid-market growth.
Collaboration across multiple layers of the organisation.
About you
Friendly, approachable, and always ready to connect with others.
A natural communicator—chatty yet calm, with a professional but informal tone that puts people at ease.
Passionate about self-development and continuous learning, whether it's about sharpening your sales skills or diving deeper into the industry.
A true team player who lifts others up, welcomes feedback, and understands the positive impact you bring to the team.
Ambitious about driving Famly's growth and making a real difference.
Bring something unique to the table—we value personality, not just checkboxes.
Bring grit, resilience, and a growth mindset to the role.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience in sales within childcare, education, or related industries—it's a big plus
Familiarity with sales tools like CRM systems and engagement platforms. (We're rocking Hubspot, Outreach, Gong, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.)
A strong network and existing relationships in the UK mid-market childcare market—an extra edge we'd love to see
The team?
A team of friendly, boisterous salespeople who celebrate wins hard, pick each other up on tough days, and never stop pushing the limits. We come from all over the world, but what connects us is our passion for what we do—and the joy of doing it together.
Expect high energy, tons of support, a few (OK, many) Slack GIFs, and an obsession with both hitting goals and having a good time.
And who are Famly...?
At Famly, we're on a mission to give children the best possible start to life by supporting the people who make that happen every day: early-years professionals.
It all started when our co-founder Henrik dropped off his daughter at daycare and realised how much was still being done with pen and paper—and how distant that made him feel from her day. Together with Anders, now our CEO, they set out to build software that bridges that gap.
Today, Famly is used by 34,000+ childcare professionals and hundreds of thousands of parents to:
Communicate in real-time
Reduce admin stress
Improve planning, pedagogy, and finances
And ultimately, give more time to the little ones that matter most
Want to help us do even more of that? We'd love to have you.
Why you'll love working with Famly
You'll be surrounded by clever, kind people who support each other
We give you ownership—freedom to try new things, backed by trust
Top-tier equipment (noise-cancelling headphones included)
Onsite learning from peers, leaders and coaches as well as regular team and company activities
Ongoing personal and professional development beyond sales skills
A mission you can believe in—and see the impact of daily
Ready to apply? We're hiring right now, so don't wait around.
