About us

Our purpose is simple: to save lives at sea. For 200 years, our lifeboat crews and lifeguards have shown selfless courage to rescue those in peril on the water. Behind them is a dedicated, talented team making it all possible. This is your chance to join that team and use your skills to help save lives every day.

The role

As Data Coordinator, you'll play a key role in enabling our Data team to deliver even greater impact. You'll manage our volunteer programme from onboarding through to activity coordination and recognition, and you'll build strong partnerships with universities to deliver meaningful student projects. Acting as the central point of contact for stakeholders, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly and safely. Your work will unlock extra capacity and expertise for our data and insight teams—helping us make better decisions for lifesaving and fundraising.

About you

You're organised, proactive, and passionate about helping others succeed. You'll bring:

  • Experience coordinating volunteers, projects, or programmes in a complex environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence working with a range of stakeholders, from technical teams to external partners.
  • Awareness of safeguarding and data governance principles (training provided if needed).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel); experience with scheduling or tracking tools such as Trello or MS Planner is a bonus.

If you want to use your coordination skills to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Some of the benefits
  • Competitive pension scheme
  • Flexible working and a culture that values work-life balance
  • 26 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Life assurance
  • Excellent health and dental cash plan
