Key Responsibilities

As our Business Support Manager, you will:

  • Support the effective delivery and administration of business support programmes.
  • Attend and manage regular events, ensuring smooth delivery. Responsibilities include planning, coordination, on-site support, and post-event follow-up.
  • Engage with local businesses to understand their challenges, needs, and ambitions.
  • Be the first point of contact for all business enquiries via website, webchat, phone, email, and in person.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments to understand individual business needs.
  • Provide clear, accurate guidance, signposting, and information to clients.
  • Record all interactions promptly and accurately using the CRM system, including when working remotely or offsite.
  • Refer appropriate enquiries to partner organisations and ensure follow-up actions are carried out.
  • Keep resource materials and signposting information up to date and relevant.
  • Maintain a strong, current understanding of available business support programmes and services.

About You

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence in using CRM systems and handling multiple communication channels.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • A solid understanding of the business support landscape (desirable, but not essential).
