Care Assistant – Bank availability (Self-Employed)

£16/hr weekdays | £18/hr after 6pm & weekends

Local visits | Minimum 1-hour support | Flexible work to suit you

Do you have experience supporting people in their homes and want flexible, reliable work that fits around your life and commitments?

Your Care provides home support and personal care so people can remain as comfortable and independent as possible in their own homes. Our Bank Support Assistants provide cover when regular team members take time off, or when clients require additional support.

Demand for our services continues to grow, so we are looking for trusted individuals to join our team.

What the Role Involves

Depending on client needs, you may support with:

  • Personal care to assist dignity and wellbeing
  • Help with daily routines and independence
  • Meal preparation and light household tasks
  • Medication reminders*
  • Social support and companionship
  • Accompanying clients to appointments, errands and activities

All visits are a minimum of one hour, allowing time for meaningful support.

Where You'll Work

Local support visits across North and East Bristol, South Gloucestershire and parts of BANES. Locations may include but are not limited to:

  • Fishponds, Downend, Staple Hill
  • Kingswood, Warmley, Longwell Green
  • Keynsham and nearby areas

When You'll Work

  • You tell us your ongoing availability
  • We offer shifts that fit around your life
  • Must be contactable during the hours you have agreed to be available

This role is ideal if you want flexibility while maintaining steady, meaningful work.

What You'll Earn

  • £16 per hour weekdays
  • £18 per hour after 6pm and at weekends
  • Minimum 1-hour visits - never rushed
  • Mileage paid by clients at 55p per mile when using your own car

Fair pay for skilled, person-centred support.

Who We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year's experience providing home support and personal care
  • Calm, reliable and confident stepping into new situations
  • Able to work independently
  • Car driver with your own vehicle
  • Female (Genuine Occupational Requirement – Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1)
