The Role:

As part of the Highways team, you'll help deliver the Highways Maintenance service in Hampshire.

What you'll do:

As an Advanced Technician, you'll assist engineers in delivering a wide variety of highway repairs throughout Hampshire. You'll also handle highway emergencies, respond to adverse weather, and enforce highway regulations to ensure the efficient use of Hampshire's highway network. By maintaining roads and footways, your work will directly impact the entire community. Join us and help make a positive difference for everyone living in, working in, or visiting Hampshire.

As already mentioned, this position provides an opportunity for you to attend training and complete a Level 3 Civil Engineer Technician apprenticeship, to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours as set out in the apprenticeship standard.

What we're looking for:

Are you practically minded, a team player, and enjoy a mix of outdoor and office-based work? Do you excel at interacting with people and want to help maintain over 8,000 km of highways in the stunning County of Hampshire? If so, this role is tailor-made for you You don't need any previous highways experience to join us. We offer exceptional training and development to ensure you succeed and grow your career within our fantastic organisation.

You must have a full current UK driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle. Additionally, as required, you'll need to be available to work out of hours to respond to weather and other emergencies.
