  • Key Purpose of the Role:

To work in partnership with fellow practitioners to create an effective team and be fully involved in all activities associated with the setting.

To assist in the planning, preparation and to participate in a range of activities that promotes each child's physical, intellectual, and emotional needs to enable each child to reach their full potential.

To help children acquire self-help skills, including dressing, feeding, toilet training and an awareness of personal hygiene as an important element of planning to support learning, development, and independence.

To act as key person for a group of children, by observing, monitoring, and accurately recording each child's individual development, where appropriate.

To assist in the provision of an environment that is warm and welcoming, always fostering an open-door policy.

To build strong, friendly, and professional relationships with the children and their families, encouraging the involvement of parents at all levels.

Be proactive in the use of reflective practice to help develop and improve own practice and working environment.

Qualifications, experience, and skills

You MUST hold a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification.

You should have good communication skills.

Be approachable, reliable, and trustworthy.

Be enthusiastic, motivated and flexible
