Summary

Coast Care Homes Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable Chef to join our team at Whitecliff Nursing Home. This is a part-time role working 31.5 hours per week over 3 days, from 8:00am to 6:30pm, including one day each weekend. As our Chef, you'll play a key role in providing nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. You'll plan and prepare home-style meals using fresh ingredients, cater for a range of dietary requirements, and help ensure that mealtimes are an enjoyable part of daily life within the home.

Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals in line with residents' care plans and nutritional needs
  • Ensure all meals are well presented, varied, and in line with menu plans
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety in line with regulations
  • Manage stock levels and ordering to minimise waste
  • Work closely with care staff to adapt meals for residents' preferences and special diets

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Chef or Cook, ideally within a care or catering setting
  • A passion for cooking and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene desirable)
  • Organised, dependable and able to work independently
