Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and personable Concierge to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver and be a proactive point of contact for service users who may require support in an emergency or crisis situation. They will ensure that a good standard of professional service is given and will be required to work within the companies Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities

· Maintain a clean, safe, and calm overnight environment.

· Perform routine checks on facilities (fire alarms, doors, lighting, etc.).

· Report and record any maintenance issues promptly.

· Ensure the safety and security of all young people during the night.

· Monitor CCTV and conduct regular welfare checks in line with safeguarding policies.

· Respond appropriately to any incidents or emergencies and record them accurately.

· Comply with all internal safeguarding procedures.

· Accurately document nightly events, observations, and concerns in logs or electronic records.

· Ensure effective handovers to day staff, highlighting any concerns or actions taken.

· Report any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate staff or Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) immediately.

Experience

  • Previously worked in Young Peoples Supported accommodation delivering interventions to young people who may have varying needs including dependencies, learning disabilities, challenging behaviours/chaotic or impulsive behaviours.
  • Understanding of person centred /trauma informed care to support and assist individuals with changing and varying needs.
  • Experience of IT systems to record information and produce reports in an accurate, timely manner.
  • Experience and ability to form professional, effective and motivational relationships with staff & service users.
