Role Overview

The Water Hygiene Engineer is responsible for delivering routine monitoring, testing and maintenance services that ensure client water systems remain safe, compliant and well managed. This is a key operational role, providing frontline assurance to clients while maintaining high standards of reporting, communication and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

You will carry out routine temperature monitoring, outlet inspections, shower and spray insert cleaning and disinfection in line with ACOP L8 requirements.

You will undertake domestic water sampling and basic closed system sampling, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

You will inspect, clean and disinfect cold water storage tanks and associated services.

You will carry out water system surveys and inspections, identifying risks and areas for improvement.

You will accurately complete all digital records and reports using company systems.

You will communicate clearly with clients regarding findings, actions taken and any follow on recommendations.

Skills, Experience and Attributes

You will have previous experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer or in a closely related role.

You will have a working knowledge of ACOP L8 and water hygiene best practice.

You will be organised, reliable and detail focused, with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities.

You will be confident using tablets and digital reporting tools.

You will hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel as required.

Experience in Legionella Risk Assessments is advantageous but not essential and training can be supported for the right candidate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £29,420.00-£39,773.70 per year
