Head of Advanced Projects
to play a defining role in our journey.

Reporting to the Managing Director, AMPT, this is a rare opportunity to lead the development and delivery of next-generation programmes within diverse advanced engineering sectors including the high-performance and ultra-luxury vehicle sector, while shaping AMPT's capabilities, partnerships, and long-term growth across advanced engineering markets. You'll combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership, driving operational excellence, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration at the highest levels.

Key Responsibilities
Development & Leadership

  • Assess current practices and capability coverage, identifying gaps and defining future requirements.
  • Develop and embed sector-leading, scalable processes and systems across all operational areas.

Strategic Leadership

  • Identify, develop, and deliver new business opportunities to accelerate AMPT's growth.
  • Shape and drive strategic and operational direction, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  • Lead the evolution of tools, processes, and best practices to support high-quality and efficient delivery.
  • Identify emerging capability needs and lead long-term planning for growth and future readiness.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire multidisciplinary teams across engineering and programme functions.
  • Build on existing strengths while developing new competencies to support expanding operational demands.
  • Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Programme Delivery

  • Ensure robust planning, execution, and governance frameworks across all programmes.
  • Provide senior technical oversight and act as a trusted escalation point for programme challenges.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with internal functions to ensure alignment and seamless programme integration.
  • Champion clear communication, collaboration, and synergy across all operational and delivery workstreams.

Resource & Budget Management

  • Support efficient allocation of people, materials, and time across multiple projects.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, identifying improvement opportunities and driving cost-effective delivery.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Extensive leadership experience within diverse advanced engineering sectors, including the high-performance and ultra-luxury vehicle sector.
  • Proven track record of delivering multi-disciplinary, complex engineering projects from concept through to launch.
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when required.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively across technical, commercial, and customer-facing functions.
  • Highly resilient, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for innovation, emerging technologies, and advancing best-in-class project capability within AMPT.
