Howdens are recruiting for a Quality Assistant to join our team at our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire. As a Quality Assistant, you will support customer and supplier problem resolution with our manufacturing processes and help engineer quality improvements.

Pay rate and shift pattern:

  • £34,509.80 per annum + £4,732.08 shift allowance
  • Night shift (Monday to Wednesday 4pm-2:30am, Thursday 4pm-2am)

What will you be doing as a Quality Assistant:

  • Primarily supporting the Quality Inspector or Co-ordinator providing them with data and results from product or process measurements
  • Supporting in resolving issues within the manufacturing processes
  • Supporting goods in-supplier assessment and resolving customer complaints
  • Assisting in supporting site calibration and document control

What do you need to qualify for the Quality Assistant:

  • Previous experience in a quality environment
  • NVQ level 2 in manufacturing would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Basic computer skills including Word and Excel
  • A FLT licence would be an advantage
  • Self-motivated and have a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
