About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Locum Pharmacist to provide regular cover at our busy, community-focused pharmacy in Walsall. The role involves supporting the daily running of the dispensary, delivering excellent patient care, and ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking for consistent work with a friendly, well-organised team, with the possibility of a permanent position if desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately check and dispense NHS and private prescriptions.
  • Provide professional advice on the safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and clinical support to patients.
  • Oversee the safe management of controlled drugs and prescription records.
  • Support and lead dispensary staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain compliance with GPhC standards and company procedures.
  • Contribute to the delivery of pharmacy services such as NMS, CPCS, BP checks, and flu vaccinations (if accredited).

Requirements

  • Qualified Pharmacist with current GPhC registration.
  • Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional indemnity insurance.
  • Smartcard and DBS check (desirable).

Schedule

  • Regular weekly shifts (details to be discussed – flexibility available).
  • Potential for additional ad-hoc shifts if desired.
