We are an independent internet pharmacy based in Walsall looking to recruit a friendly, competent, organised and a self-motivated individual to join our pharmacy team. As a valued member of our pharmacy team, you will help ensure that our customers and patients get the best possible service at all times. We offer fast prescription services to our local communities and pride ourselves on helping our local communities with the services that we offer. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will work as a part of a team under the direction of a registered Pharmacist.

Roles would include:

- Label and dispense prescriptions in accordance with (SOP’s) standard operating procedures to ensure safe supplies are sent to patients in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Dispensing repeat prescriptions and prescriptions from surgeries under the supervision of a Pharmacist
- Ensuring that drugs are received and stored in an appropriate manner in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions(Following SOP’s)
- Ensuring that refrigerated items are stored at the appropriate temperature and maintaining the temperature control record/logbook (Following SOP’s)
- Ordering sufficient medication and stock in line with company procedures to meet customer demand and date/usage checking to maximise availability and minimise waste. (Following SOP’s)
- Operation of efficient stock control and Assisting in stock checks
- Creating and updating patient medication records (PMR) in accordance with data protection principles to ensure patient confidentiality is met at all times.
- Processing invoices and paperwork following pharmacy procedures.
- Taking orders for patient repeats and dealing with queries from surgeries and patients
- Using the computer to keep records up to date with patient repeat prescription ordering book
- Taking responsibility of all necessary housekeeping duties so that dispensary areas are kept clean and tidy at all times. (Following the cleaning Rota)
- Working as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support the pharmacy and the pharmacy team.
- Cleaning work surfaces and shelving on a regular basis and ensuring that all dispensary equipment is kept clean and kept in good working order.

The pharmacy dispenser must have:

- Previous Pharmacy dispensing experience -- required ( minimum of 2 years)
- Great leadership and management skills
- Good time keeping, reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work at good speed in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- A NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
- Be able to work as part of a team and take your own initiative when required
- A can do attitude to assist where needed.
- Driving license for emergency deliveries

The role is: 40 hours per week: Full time

**Salary**: depending on experience

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: £9.50-£12.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Walsall, West Midlands: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Pharmacy: 2 years (preferred)
